DIYA ETS (Diversified Intervention of Youth Awareness-Enlighten the Society), is a Non-Government Organization registered as a Trust under the Indian Trust Act 1882. It is a joint effort of like-minded Citizens of India who are the part of the progressive society of India. They had the firm belief that since the Independence of India, our society still remains handicapped by many socio-economic & political inequalities and Injustice which are pervasive everywhere in India, on account of the limited capacity of the state in terms of manpower and other resources at its discourse. Therefore, It is the moral and ethical duty of the civil society to act as the developmental Industry and complement the effort of the government of the day in fulfilling the ideals of the Constitution of India enshrined in the Preamble
Therefore, the DIYA as an Association of kind-hearted, generous, empathetic , compassionate, charitable and altruistic people, took steps to take the disadvantaged people a leap forward by delivering justice to them in one form or the other.
DIYA has been the active associate of the North-West District Administration in the success of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao(BBBP) Program, under which it has launched Pankhudi Pathshala with the special focus on bringing dropout girls back to the education. The Pankhudi Pathshala are being operated in the Aangandwadis, where DIYA’s volunteers educate them. Further, It coordinated the 4th International Yoga Day along with District Administratin in which special focus was the Health and Wellness of Women under BBBP. Dr. Sumit heading as the Disability Programme Officer of DIYA has organized Divyang Jan Camp in Mangolpuri, Delhi where he coordinated with the various agencies to help distribute Disability Card, Insurance Card, DTC Bus Passes and Disability Pension. He further coordinated with AADHAR Enrolment Centre to organize AADHAR Camp for visually challenged persons. Mr. Nitin heading as the Event Organizer Officer, successfully organized the Old Cloth Donation Camp in the Chandpur Village, Delhi -110081, where hundreds of fine cloths were received as donations and distributed to the needy ones in JJ Colonies of Delhi after proper washing and ironing them. DIYA actively participated with Election Commission Officers in the North West District on National Voters Day(25th January) with an aim to contribute in creating awareness about vibrant democracy and importance of vocal and responsible voters. DIYA has played a great role in Disaster Mitigation efforts of NOIDA Authorities by sensitizing RWA of NOIDA Sec 93 about Home Safety, & Local Preparedness against disasters. Mrs. Savita Goel, the Creativity head of DIYA taught Art and Craft Skills to Women in Art & Craft Workshop, sponsored by Pidilite and organized at Asha Kiran, A Hospital for Disability Children.
Considering its efforts, DIYA believes that there is a long path ahead for its members, in terms of diversification of the activities, and the extent of the area as now it is working particularly in the North-West Delhi Society, but having a Vision to serve the entire Indian Society in the coming future.
